What UI/UX design is and why your business needs it
UI is what people see: screens, buttons, colors and type. UX is how quickly someone finds what they came for on your website or in your app. A confusing interface loses customers; a clear one turns visits into orders and payments.
At Urobot, design is the first stage of building a product, not decoration added at the end. We find out who your users are, where they get stuck and what the business needs. Only then do we draw screens, so each one has a clear job.
What our UI/UX design service includes
User research
Interviews with customers and staff, a look at competitors and a review of your current product. Decisions rest on evidence, not guesses.
User flows and wireframes
We map how people move between screens and agree on page structure in simple wireframes before any visual work.
Clickable prototypes
A prototype that behaves like the real app, tested with real users. Problems get fixed before development starts, when changes are cheapest.
Design systems
A library of buttons, forms, colors, type and components, so new pages stay consistent and get built faster.
Accessibility
Good contrast, readable type and keyboard navigation, so the interface also works for older users and people with weaker eyesight.
Redesign
We audit your current website or app, find where users drop off and improve it step by step.
Website and mobile app design
We design interfaces for websites, internal systems (CRMs, customer portals, admin panels) and mobile apps for iOS and Android. Each platform has its own rules: on a phone, key actions sit within thumb reach; on a website, information stays organized on a wide screen.
Mobile app design from us is more than attractive mockups. We work out every state: empty lists, loading, errors, no connection. Those details make an app feel finished.
Examples of what we can design:
- A company website or a landing page for a specific service
- An online store or an ordering app for a café
- A booking, customer and cash register system – the way our TrimFlow product for barbershops works
- Internal dashboards and reports for staff
- Telegram bot menus and Web App screens
How our UI/UX design process works
- Discovery and research. 1-2 weeks of stakeholder workshops, a review of existing systems and user interviews, ending in a written brief everyone signs off.
- Flows and wireframes. We map the key user journeys and agree on page structure in simple layouts.
- Prototype and testing. Real users try the clickable prototype; we watch where they hesitate and refine. The design stage usually takes 2-4 weeks.
- Visual design and design system. Color, typography, components and the final look of every screen.
- Hand-off to engineering. Our engineers receive the design with exact measurements, states and components, and the designer stays on the team during the build.
You can see the full project lifecycle in our process section.
Why design and code belong in one team
Often one studio designs and another builds. The shipped product then drifts from the mockups: different fonts, broken spacing, improvised states.
At Urobot, designers and engineers work as one team. Designs go to our own developers with pixel-accurate specs, and the components in the design system have the same names and rules in code. That keeps design and code in sync. If you need the whole product, we move straight from design into web and mobile app development with no gap in between.
All design files belong to you from day one and live where you control them. You are free to hand the finished design to your own developers – there is no lock-in. See examples in our portfolio.
What affects the cost of UI/UX design
Cost depends on the number of screens, the platforms (web, iOS, Android), the amount of research and whether you need a design system.
So we do not quote numbers off the cuff. After discovery you get a fixed estimate with clear assumptions. A lean, testable version comes first, and the product grows from there.
